At TSI Global, supporting our community means helping organizations find efficient, practical solutions that move their missions forward. Recently, our team partnered with the Wellston Center as they worked to expand their food pantry services for the surrounding St. Louis community.
The Wellston Center identified a growing need for an additional walk-in refrigerator to increase food storage capacity and accept more fresh and perishable food items. They had budgeted for electrical work at a cost quoted by another contractor, but TSI Global was able to complete the project more efficiently, reducing the cost by over 25% compared to the original quote.
This project is part of TSI Global’s ongoing support of the Wellston Center. Over the past year, our team has contributed through company food drives and clothing drives, helping the Center provide essential resources to families in need. By assisting with both day-to-day support and infrastructure projects, TSI Global continues to help the Center serve the community as effectively as possible.
According to Andrew Diemer, Director of the Wellston Center, this type of partnership is critical to their mission.
“We cannot do this work without organizations like TSI. Our ability to serve the poor is contingent upon the generosity of companies like TSI; by working with you all, we are able to spend what we raise on what we care about most: feeding the hungry,” Diemer said. “You all helped us with a necessary change to our facility, and it could have been much more expensive for us to have made that change if not for your work. By helping us, TSI is also giving us the flexibility to feed even more families.”
Expanding cold storage enables the food pantry to distribute more fresh and nutritious food to a community where access to these resources is critical. Even behind-the-scenes contributions like electrical infrastructure can have a lasting impact, ensuring that the Center can operate efficiently and reach more families in need.
Diemer also highlighted the positive experience of working with the TSI team.
“Not to mention, it was a real pleasure to talk and work with the folks that came here to do the work itself. We would love to have you all back, and we know exactly who we are going to call for help with our facility in the future.”
