We are excited to welcome our newest AV Account Manager, Shawn Roby. He loves his family, getting in a round of golf when he can, and tackling the dynamic challenges his customers face through audiovisual solutions.
Shawn joined the TSI team right at the start of 2023 and has already proven himself a valuable team player. His process is simple – carefully listen to his clients’ needs and deliver a turnkey solution that goes beyond their expectations.

Lightning Round Interview
Where are you from?
St. Louis born and raised.
How did you get into the AV industry?
Started as communications major at UMSL with a focus on video production. I was working full time and watching the Blues game when a friend asked me to do some stats for their sports production. Then, I started setting up the equipment. It wasn’t too much longer before I was running the boards in the studio. Fell in love with AV, and the rest is history.
What is an interesting fact most people don’t know about you?
I am a 42 grandfather of 6.
What is the last song you listened to?
Greek Fire – Top of the World
What are common misconceptions people outside of your field have about your job?
The cost of the technology and everything it takes to implement in a way that solves the challenges in the client’s head – both known and unknown challenges.
What would your superhero name be?
Roby-Wan Kenobi
What are your biggest pet peeves?
I don’t like it when people say, “that’s not my job”. There is a difference between staying in your lane and not being a good team player.
What show(s) are you currently binge-watching?
I’m bout to start Yellowstone.
What makes a good leader?
Integrity.
Who is the coolest marketing person you have ever met?
That would have to be Dane. (That was the right answer)
