We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our St. Louis, Missouri Team!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver monthly status reports, customer progress reports, customer change proposals, and presentations to management and internal/external stakeholders on an as-needed basis.
  • Drive final customer acceptance milestones including completion of all documentation requirements, including commissioning, acceptance, and closing financial documentation.
  • Organize and deliver small-scale projects while being responsible for managing the finance, schedule, change orders, and customers and coordinate to develop and maintain a project schedule and coordinate needs with the project and site teams. Identify time-sensitive project needs.
  • Expedite the return of project-specific mark-ups during project development and support completion of project-specific close-out documentation and own and drive all aspects of the close milestone processing to achieve timely and clean project quality gates.
  • Maintain documentation for project booking packages, ensuring packages are complete and kept up to date.
  • Schedule and attend project turnover meetings and record important project details. 
  • Coordinate material purchasing and delivery, track shipments, and account for costs. 
  • Maintain billing and collections documentation; communicate issues to the project management team. 
  • Create purchase requisitions for subcontracts. Complete subcontract agreements and bond documents. 
  • Create a monthly snapshot for all projects and identify changes in planned costs. 
  • Track timesheet submittals for projects and ensure all timesheets are submitted before month-end.
  • For projects set to close, ensure they do not have unissued material, are 100% billed, and do not contain committed costs. 
  • Maintain excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. 

aDDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Stay current with responsibilities and technical aspects of TSI product offerings through review of literature, attendance of training classes and other opportunities presented by TSI. These system types currently include Electrical, structured cabling systems, outside plant cabling systems, security, audio/visual, fire alarm, intercom and paging, voice, and data networks.
  • Attend all company scheduled meetings that pertain to this job description.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • A combination of a 2-year college degree (or equivalent technical certification/field experience) and some project management experience is required.
  • Computer software skills required to effectively manage required paperwork.
  • Understanding of job cost procedures and reports.
  • Knowledge required to review, understand, and process construction documents, including:
    • Project specifications.
    • Project drawings.
    • Subcontractor agreements.
    • Customer procedure policies and jobsite specific requirements.
    • Safety manual requirements such as those published by OSHA.
  • Knowledge required to review, understand, and process financial documents, including:
    • Project estimates documenting costs, mark-up, and profit margin.
    • Material purchase orders.
    • Project job costs reports from accounting system.
    • AIA Billing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well-organized.
  • Superior customer service skills with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing, and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date.

Working Conditions:

  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Construction-site visits may be required, including sites that are not ADA compliant due to the nature of construction.
  • Travel to client worksite may be required on an as-needed basis.
